Our Stronechrubie team look forward to making your special day one to remember.

Set in 3 acres of garden located in the rural township of Mt Somers in the heart of Mid Canterbury, with breath taking views of the mountains we offer some of the most amazing backdrops in Canterbury. Our new function area is purpose built to hold Wedding receptions, conferences and special events, we are able to accommodate up to 75 guests.
We have the facilities for all day conferences and seminars and cater to all needs.

The mountain views of Mt Somers and the surrounding mountains are a spectacular setting for bridal photos and for guests to enjoy. Located on this property are 8 chalet style motel units, able to accommodate up to 24 people.

Our award winning Chef has created a wide selection of canapé and plated options which are available from Stronechrubie restaurant, featuring contemporary New Zealand cuisine complemented by a wine list of award-winning New Zealand wines.

‘We had our wedding reception at the Stronechrubie on Saturday the 13th of August. The layout and table setting was absolutely perfect, simple and stunning – exactly what we asked for. The food was beyond incredible. No shortage of food, lucky considering the amount of people going back for seconds and thirds! Dessert was just amazing. We were so blown away with the quality of the food, Maddy and Sean were so wonderful to work with organising everything- they really made our special day just that little bit more special! We would 100% recommend the Stronechrubie for a wedding reception venue.’
